About South Branch Lake Camps 

Established in 1898 on 1800' of pristine, spring-fed shoreline, south branch lake camps is the second oldest running sporting camp in maine, once host to sports legends Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Bobby Orr and B.A.S.S. legend Jerry Mckinnis.

south branch lake is one of the healthiest fisheries in maine, with some of the largest smallmouth and largemouth bass populations thanks to our practice of "catch and release"

American Plan 

with this option we do everything,  each cabin has: a half bath, beds, linens, towels, refrigerator, custom pine interiors, and a screened-in porch. We will cook your breakfast, prepare your lunch, and cook you dinner each day of your stay. All you need to do is show up and have a great time.

                                                                Housekeeping Plan

This plan is for the DIY crowd. you will stay in 1 of 3 Housekeeping Cabins, equipped with: a stovetop and oven, full refrigerator, toasters, coffee maker, cookware and utensils, bathroom, running water, dinning table, screened-in porch, and the ability to sleep 3-5 people depending on the cabin. The rest is up to you.

we offer guided bear and moose hunts every september and october, with lodging and three meals a day included.

although late may/june is our peak fishing season, anytime is a great time to fish in south branch lake.
